      Testimonials

      Freedom Drive
I first got in touch with Lauren as I saw a post on Facebook advertising her services. I needed someone to take a look at my website to check the SEO and also write some content for my blog section. My website had become a little stagnant, with very little new content and this was mainly due to covid lockdowns. Both Lauren and I agreed that the blog post could be focussed on her own journey about learning to drive. Lauren quickly jumped into action and set about emailing me several copies of what the content could be. I was impressed with Lauren's creativity and enthusiasm. She really is so helpful. Lauren advised on how to structure the copy on the blog page and checked my website once I had added it. Due to Lauren's help and encouragement, I have spent more time myself adding content and making a few changes, which were suggested by Lauren too! My website looks more fresh and current, and I’m very happy with the service Lauren provides. I would highly recommend Lauren to anyone looking for a creative writer!

      Forfend Information Security

I highly recommend Lauren for all of your proofreading needs. She did an excellent job of proofreading our blog posts and catching errors that we had missed. Her attention to detail and quick turnaround time made the proofreading process seamless and stress-free. The final product was polished and professional, and we received many compliments on the quality of our content. We will definitely be using Lauren for all of our future proofreading needs.

      Pearce Wedding Photography

Being a photographer and not a writer, I have always struggled with copywriting. I struggle with writing and creating an image I want to portray for my website and business. This is where Lauren came in. Not only did she proofread my entire website, marking out errors clearly to be corrected, she also recommended new copy that’s in keeping with my brand and aligns with SEO. In the few days after Lauren worked her magic on my website, SEO Optimiser raised my site’s SEO score significantly, and I am very thankful.

      Danielle Anslow - Nursing Student

Being in my first year of a nursing degree and having no experience in academic writing, I was struggling to edit my assignments to meet the set word count and ensure my work reflected a professional vocabulary. Lauren offered me her services to proofread and edit my assignment to meet the criteria specified. Lauren did so in a professional and timely manner whilst making me feel comfortable, as I was apprehensive regarding the prospect of someone else reading my work. However, the piece Lauren returned to me was significantly improved with clear directions on how I could improve my assignments in the future, which I have found extremely helpful.

Overall, I found the experience of working with Lauren easy, friendly, and professional and will continue to recommend her to others.

      Rachael Smith - Senior Lecturer

Lauren proofread and edited a piece of educational research for me which I was struggling to keep within a required word limit. I am very impressed with her service; her communication was professional throughout and she worked within the deadlines agreed. The returned work was outstanding. She had managed to reduce the word count significantly by restructuring several areas of the work, whilst still maintaining my own voice in the language. Despite my experience in academic writing, Lauren identified several grammatical errors. This reflects both an excellent grasp of the English language as well as her strong editing abilities.

I look forward to working with Lauren again for future research articles and cannot recommend her more highly!

Case study - meeting the brief

The client's brief is an important document. It's a great opportunity to show me exactly what you want; how you want it to look and what your expectations are.

A detailed brief is always welcome.

Here, you can see how a brief can turn into the end product.

However, if you’re certain that you want me to write a blog, but you have no idea what to focus on, we can discuss and create a brief together, or at least a starting point.

As much as I love a detailed brief, having full artistic license brings a sense of intrigue and excitement to a job.

Take Terry for example. Terry is a driving instructor in the local area. He reached out to me because he wanted to increase his SEO. His SEO was actually quite strong, with a lot of on-page SEO tactics included.

However, I did notice that his website could benefit from a blog. This would allow him to highlight his authority and expertise in the industry, whilst including a wealth of on-page SEO tactics to increase his SEO stance and to drive organic traffic to his website.

Whilst he agreed, he had no idea what he wanted his blog post to be about. He did emphasise that he’d like me to include how driving offers a sense of freedom and independence. So, with a small brief and a little research, I wrote this.

You can see that an authoritative tone is used, illustrating thought leadership. A range of SEO tactics are also added, including backlinks, credible data, html tags and an accessible structure.

So, whether you know exactly what you want, or have just an inkling of an idea, drop me an email today to have a chat about what you have in mind for your website.

Case study - Pearce Wedding Photography

James reached out for my SEO services. He wanted to improve his SEO stance for his wedding photography website.

With some research and a quick look at his website, his SEO looked quite strong. He was popping up as a fifth suggestion for the Google search Kent wedding photographer. His website included testimonials, FAQs and an up-to-date blog.

I underwent some keyword research, editing the current content to include these. I also proofread and edited all of James’ content to illustrate a website that is well-written and authoritative, therefore adhering to Google’s E.A.T. Guidelines. Lastly, I recommended that James continue updating his blog, maintaining a relevant and engaging website structure.

Within a matter of weeks, James’ SEO score shot up, pushing him up to second for the Google search Kent wedding photographer. His SEO Optimiser score increased from a C+ to a B, and his website went from 30 visits a day to 112.

Now, I will admit that SEO is a long-term commitment, and you don't really start to see results for at least 6 months. However, in James' case, it's clear how effective a proofread and incorporating some SEO tactics can be.

Whilst there are a few more things to do to improve James’ website, by adding a few tweaks, and enhancing his content with a proofread and some keyword research, his SEO rose massively, gaining him more recognition and leads.

If you’re looking to enhance your website’s SEO stance, then drop me an email today, and we can discuss what we can do to increase organic traffic to your site.
